Blog #4, Dreamweaver

Provide one fact which you have learned about Dreamweaver during the DW unit. (example: The main div we place our information in is called the "container")

  2. I learned that the heading of a website has to go into a div in order to move it around the site.

  3. I learned that if you are in split view then you can write in either side and it will come up on the other side as well.

  4. I learned that when you are in split screen whatever you do to one side happens to the other so you can edit from both sides.

  5. I learned that there are different setting for the designer to see what he/she is creating and see both sides. Those different settings are split view, live, design and code.

  6. Instead of clicking on the globe to see what your website looks like on the web you can click the live button, however sometimes it looks different than the one that is actually viewed on the web.

  11. One thing I learned how to do in Dreamweaver is to make divs position absolute, and in this way we can move the boxes exactly where we want them to be on the site.

  17. I learned that Dreameweaver is fairly easy to use. You don't have write all of the codes and tags. Dreamweaver write out the codes for you.

  18. We learned that in Dreamweaver there are boxes called divs. They hold text and pictures.

  19. During the Dreamweaver unit I learned that Dreamweaver will write the code in for you when you open it up. It also will finish a tag for you when it recognizes what you are trying to end it. For example if you start a paragraph tag and then write in your text, then when you try to end the tag, Dreamweaver will see that and finish it for you.

  29. One fact that I learned about Dreamweaver this week is that before starting your website, you make a folder, known as a root folder, which will have an images and sources folder inside of it for all the files that your website will contain.

  30. One thing I learned about Dreamweaver during the DW unit was that the curtain is the background, the main div where information is placed is the stage (container), and everything placed on the stage must be in a div so you can move it around.

  32. One fact that I have learned is that you can change the priority of the text to heading one heading two etc. by highlighting the text and changing its format to what you want.
